Child Advocacy Center at BestSelf 5K

Join us on Sunday, April 28, 2024, for the 3rd Annual Child Advocacy Center at BestSelf 5K! The 1.3 Mile Walk will take place in Delaware Park start time is 9 am (30 minutes before the 5K - Strollers and dogs are welcome). The 5K run will take place in Delaware Park with a start time of 9:30 am (Pets and strollers are not permitted during the run).

REGISTRATION & BIB PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of each race. Race day registration (bib pickup) will be at the Parkside Lodge. The 1.3 mile walk start time is at 9am and the 5K Run will start at 9:30am. All participants will receive a custom BestSelf finisher medal and optional race shirts will be available for purchase at checkout through 4/21/24.

PURCHASE YOUR 5K T-SHIRT DURING REGISTRATION
$15 per shirt. Shirts will be ready for you at registration.

VIRTUAL REGISTRATION OPEN (includes mailing of medal)
Can't make the race... Participate virtually! Simply sign up for the 5K Virtual Race before it sells out. You choose the location and time to get out on your own and run/walk your 5K any time in the months of April or May. Feel free to use the FREE IYR Virtual App to track and score your run. You will also be able to manually enter your finish time directly to the IYR Results Page any time during the months of April/May. We'll automatically mail out your finisher medal about a week after the race.

POST-RACE CELEBRATION
Join us after the race in the Parkside Lodge in Delaware Park for refreshments and/or a complementary beer from Resurgence Brewing and our signature donut from Paula's Donuts.

START/FINISH
Both the 5K Run and 1.3 Mile Walk will start on Meadow Drive (aka: Ring Road) near the Buffalo Zoo parking lot. The finish line is located at the south edge of the park near "The Indian Hunter" statue (see maps below). CLICK HERE to view the 5K course map.

PARKING
Plenty of street parking is available.

5K AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the top overall 5K male and female finishers at the post race celebration in the Parkside Lodge. All participants will receive a finisher medal. Custom finisher certificates and finish line photos can also be accessed via the RESULTS button at the top of this page.

CANCELLATION POLICY
There will be no refunds. In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, etc), we reserve the right to postpone/reschedule the event at our discretion or offer a virtual alternative if necessary.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Professional timing & finish line services using industry-leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real-time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
